When you start drawing/illustrating, you little by little start to build a mountain of material, colors which can get, well…too much at one point.

With more than 70 different colored markers in my possession, plus paint and pencils, it is impossible to remember which marker is going to give which exact color on each kind of paper. They do have names yes but what really is the difference between pastel pink and cocktail pink? Is it going to be the same result on extra white paper and tan paper?

To dismiss all these interrogations (and sometimes mistakes) I decided to create my own library of colors.

Everytime I get a new color, I add it to the swatch sheet, and then classify per color. Repeat this on each different type of paper you use and her you go! Over are all the headaches!

Hope this helps!
